The Director of IT & Business Intelligence leads and manages the Affirmant's Information Technology and Business Intelligence structure, programs and processes in partnership with the IT & Business Intelligence Committee (ITC), Director of Clinical Integration, and Director of Payer Relations.
·Defines, develops and oversees the operation of an Information and Data Management strategy, policies, and procedures including data security, access, storage, classification and retention
Collaborates with the ITC and functional leadership to ensure Affirmant's IT/BI infrastructure meets the needs of the clinical transformation program and health plan partnerships
Leads the design, implementation, and management of Affirmant's centralized IT & Business Intelligence infrastructure (e.g. leads project management activities; supports data /extract collection, mapping, loading, and normalization; coordinates Affirmant data integrity testing with each Local Chapter)
Provides analytic capabilities to realize improved processes and resulting outcomes
Provides stakeholders with the knowledge to make informed decisions and improve performance
Oversees any external vendor contracts, including negotiations, enforcement of terms, Affirmant & Local Chapter obligations, renewals, and other obligations
·Master's in Information Management, Healthcare Informatics, or Computer Science
·Ten (10) years of leadership and operational experience in a healthcare information technology & analytics environment, preferably with proven success in population health programs
·Knowledge and application of performance improvement techniques and how information is used to identify, analyze and monitor improvements
·Expertise in EMR, PMS, & other workflow systems, data warehouses, and clinical / claims data
·Working knowledge of value-based provider payment and delivery models
·Capacity to lead complex, multi-disciplinary initiatives in coordination with key stakeholders
·Capacity to develop and manage strategic relationships with vendor partners
·Capacity to develop and lead data governance structures and processes
·Excellent written, interpersonal communication and presentation skills, including ability to present complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of understanding
