Reporting to Senior Associate Dean for MBA Program, this position has overall responsibility for guiding a high-profile organization that supports the career education & job search activity of over 600 MBA and 60+ Master of Advanced Management students, ~130 Executive MBA students and a smaller number of MMS students. Sets strategic direction for Career Development Office (CDO) and implements comprehensive & innovative career management & recruitment activities for students & organizations that hire across Yale SOM degree programs, oversees career service delivery to alumni population. Anticipate & capitalize on trends and emerging developments in the global marketplace. Ensure that CDO is innovative & nimble in its response to market changes and employment trends, including job automation, artificial intelligence, & other factors. Design & initiate a business development strategy ensuring a wide variety of exceptional opportunities for students across all sectors & industries, including traditional for-profit enterprises, entrepreneurial companies, governments, and non-profit and social-sector enterprises. Leverage the Global Network for Advanced Management to forge institutional relationships across global career space & generate business development opportunities to strengthen employment outcomes. Leverage technology to continue the build-out of innovative career education programming and other initiatives. Partner with Communications Department to liaise with and generate coverage by media outlets. Develop a comprehensive service-delivery strategy for growing pre-experience populations with robust career management curriculum & access to global internship and full-time opportunities. Effectively communicate with constituents regarding all facets of CDO activity. Develop, nurture & enhance employer relationships across industries & sectors in traditional and non-traditional graduate business school employment channels. Develop relationships with firms & organizations, domestic & international, which do not recruit on campus or hire Yale SOM graduates. Communicate effectively with key decision makers in these organizations to help them understand the School's unique mission and the caliber of our graduates. Proactively engage & partner with students, student interest groups representing areas of professional interest. Manage design & execution of career services support to alumni, including coaching, alumni career development events and direct support. Collaborate with Career Development peers across the university & other Yale administrators to broaden Yale SOM ties & engagement with university community. Work closely with CDO Directors representing joint-degree and exchange programs at Yale & elsewhere. Collaborate with Yale Program on Entrepreneurship to ensure successful degree to venture transition for students. Serve as thought leader across domestic & global career services landscape, engaging with relevant professional associations, peer institutions, and key corporate partners. Manage, coach and develop approximately 16 professional and administrative support staff. Oversee consultants. As a member of the school's senior staff, work closely with the Yale SOM administrative deans and directors in setting direction, policy and guidelines for the student population. Set CDO policies, procedures and guidelines for student and employer participation in recruiting activity. Supervise the collection, compilation and reporting of MBA internship and graduate employment data to appropriate outlets. Set direction for and oversee the implementation of technological applications and databases that enable students, staff, alumni and employers to access crucial information. Manage CDO operating budget.

Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: MBA, other Master's degree or appropriate professional degree. 6-10 years' creative leadership experience in the career services and recruitment industry, preferably in both academic and corporate environments. Global orientation; experience working across countries and regions, and fluency in more than one language.
Required Licenses Or Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field. Seven years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
