This position is in the Department of Program In Physical Therapy . This position is for the Medical School Campus.
This position will expand and enhance the Program in Physical Therapy’s online presence through website content development, feature sections and timely postings and will coordinate all aspects of AV equipment budgets, maintenance, support and training for the classroom users. This position will also be the liaison between the Program and Shared IT Services providing leadership and technical support as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the production of copy, art and other elements throughout the website development process.
Ensure that all website content is uploaded to the site on a timely basis, refreshed and updated according to the content schedule and that information and its design flow adheres to university brand standards and best practices.
Create information architecture for new or redesigned websites. Structure website content and navigation according to usability and accessibility best practices and business goals.
Evaluate all content for its value in search engine optimization according to key word frequency, key word density, formatting, etc.
Produce site traffic analysis and monthly senior management reports and aid in interpreting results and potential impact.
Design, program, test and document web applications used by and for the Program.
Act as liaison to obtain clearance on copyrighted material ensuring all issues are resolved and no personal health information is available or collected on any portion of the site.
Coordinate all aspects of Program Technology; equipment, computers and software.
Collaborate with the Business Manager in developing annual equipment, software and maintenance budget.
Interact with vendors and lead in the selection and set up of equipment and applications.
Maintain accurate records of inventory, purchases, and service agreements.
Support classroom lecture capture and video archiving.
Ensure Program users are trained and supported in operating AV equipment and software.
Provide emergent technical support and back up when Shared IT Services are not available.
Keep informed about education technology options within the University. Understanding new platforms that could improve performance on on-going basis.
Direct and record educational and marketing videos as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience in an online production environment and one year providing technology customer support, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in launching new websites and/or redesigning existing websites.
3 to 5 years managing AV operations including budgeting, purchasing, user training and support.
Knowledge of Web development, applications and technology, including HTML 4.0, Java Script, Photoshop, WordPress, PHP, and HTML editing tools.
Knowledge of basic principles of interface usability.
Written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to develop websites, ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
The hiring range for this position is $46,114 - $58,802 annually.
