This is a challenging role that creates an opportunity to grow and develop while doing your life's best work.(sm)Primary Responsibilities: Gather and document business requirementsAnalyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns and opportunities for the business and clientsCommunicate analysis and interpretation to appropriate audienceProduce, publish and distribute scheduled and ad-hoc client and operational reports relating to the development and performance of products, processes and technologiesSupport the production and delivery of risk adjustment and EDI files including QA of results and data deliverablesRetrieve data using SQL logic for use in research and analysisConduct data analysis to support customer requests including reconciliation of submissionsConduct data analysis to support issue analysis and resolutionDevelop reports that support assessment of operations and continuous improvement including trends, exceptions, etcProactively identify potential issues in processing and operations based on anomalies or exceptions in the dataParticipate in design sessions and provide input based on current data status and anticipated data impactStay abreast of risk adjustment requirements, processes, deliverables and deadlinesWork with the Data Lead to define priorities and address issues
Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree3+ years in a technically oriented business or technical roleUnderstanding of relational data structuresStrong SQL skills, preferably SQL - server environmentSSIS, SSRS, SSAS experienceAbility to analyze raw data to identify underlying issue or root cause1+ years of experience in business / finance including analysis experience with a solid understanding of data storage structuresExperience gathering requirements from the client / business and documentingIntermediate level of proficiency with PC based software programs and automated database management systems (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)1+ years of experience with project methodology (requirements, design, development, test and implementation)Ability to communicate analysis including trends and opportunities to clients and the business in writing and verballyAbility to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data Careers with Optum.
