The goal of the Special Events and Fulfillment Director is to plan and direct all benefit related special events within the Department of Athletics as well as to organize and execute the elements, contracts and payments agreed upon by VCU Athletics and several major-level corporate sponsors who have contracts specifically with VCU Athletics and not VCU Sports Properties. This position would be called on to establish relationships with VCU donors and clients.
Coordinate the planning of all special events including golf tournaments, donor trips, sport-specific alumni and ticket selling events and major department fundraising events;
Oversee budget planning and reconciling of all events;
Direct and supervise the fulfillment of all benefits for Ram Athletic Fund Members;
Direct the acknowledgement process for all gifts;
Coordinate the fulfillment of all payments and elements sold by VCU Athletics-specific sponsorships throughout the season and work with VCU Athletics Assistant AD for Marketing and Promotions to make sure all sponsorship elements are activated on a VCU Game Day;
Provide customer service to all members of the Ram Athletic Fund;
Remain in compliance with University, State, NCAA and A-10 regulations;
Have direct interaction with donor base and season ticket holders; and
Remain in compliance with Athletic Department and University Cash Management procedures.
Must have an advanced degree or training and work experience at a level that equates to an advanced degree.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
