The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks innovative, energetic, and accomplished candidates for the position of Senior Associate Director in the Office of Scholarships and Student Aid.This position has significant administrative responsibilities in a large, complex department. The position has substantial responsibility for assisting the Associate Provost and Director of Scholarships and Student Aid in formulating, interpreting, and implementing policy and owns responsibility for the daily operations of the office including oversight of financial aid systems and calendar. The position exercises substantial independence of administrative authority and discretion and is authorized to independently commit the institution to financial aid decisions.
Education and Experience:
Applicants for the position must have at least five years of professional experience in the field as well as a minimum of five years of senior managerial experience. The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications: a record of success in a complex, highly selective environment; demonstrated skill in leading and developing a large professional staff; excellent communications and public relations skills; a thorough knowledge of financial aid programs; an uncompromising commitment to quality service and student advocacy; and experience with the application of information technology to the financial aid process. The position requires an individual with a good eye for detail, exceptional organizational and time-management skills, and a strong work ethic.
