This position will spend 50% of its time as an integral member of the client services accounting group, and 50% directing projects to support the operations of the entire team. To perform this role you will:
Perform investor accounting for 1-2 commingled funds including transaction processing, fee calculations and statement preparation. Develop an expertise with the investor accounting software and assist with enhancements and testing. Keep organized documentation of quarterly controls for an annual SOC audit.
Seek to understand client/consultant needs and provide well thought out solutions to their requests. Access and manipulate data to accurately and efficiently complete client developed excel templates and online data requests.
Contribute to and/or manage projects to improve service to internal and external clients, including improvements to accounting system, data warehouse, management reporting, implementation of new web portal, implementation of CRM system. Assist in the development of infrastructure to support new business initiatives including new parallel fund structures.
Maintain and enhance a series of Microsoft Access databases used by the team. Contribute to the strategic planning for the infrastructure and operations of the team—third-party and internal software, processes and procedures.
Complete various ad-hoc projects to support the broader initiatives of marketing, client services, and portfolio management
Your team You'll be working in the Client Services & Communications team, reporting to the Head of Client Services & Communications. However, as you will work 50% of the time with the client services accounting team, the Client Services Manager will have a strong role in your management and performance evaluation.

5+ years of work experience and a bachelor's degree; advanced degree a plus.
an excellent communicator (you know how to speak with people at all levels);
technically savvy with expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access, database relationships and report writing. Access programming experience is required.
