This position will be with AEGON Asset Management, the organization which oversees asset management for many of Transamerica's insurance and operating companies as well as third party clients. The global AEGON Asset Management organization has operations in Europe, the United States and Asia. AEGONUSA Investment Management, LLC, is a registered investment adviser that manages fixed income assets, including public bonds, private placements, derivatives and alternative investments.
AEGON USA Investment Management is seeking a qualified team member to join Securities Operations. Securities Operations is a team within Aegon Asset Management that is responsible for the day to day accounting and analysis on all fixed income and equity securities within the investment portfolio. The team interacts heavily with many other departments within AEGON Asset Management, client services, data management, custodians and corporate operating divisions.
Responsibilities May Include:
Review and process complex transactional information on AEGON Asset Management's portfolio of fixed income and equity securities.
Analyze and resolve principal and interest differences with custodial banks and other internal teams.
Reconcile, investigate variances and adjust securities holdings information within the Investment Accounting system, Trading system and Custodial Bank systems.
Analyze income for appropriateness on all current securities holdings, research variances and work with internal and external groups to make needed adjustments.
Assist in or lead the completion of customer service requests with exceptional service levels
Demonstrate an understanding of the flow of information, systems, and reporting tools, and use that knowledge to analyze, troubleshoot and document complex securities issues.
Contribute ideas for, and implement, improvements to efficiency, accuracy and controls in relation to assigned work, projects or other process enhancements.
Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, performs or leads assigned tasks or projects.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or other business related field or equivalent work experience is required with 2-5 years of experience. Working knowledge of investments preferred. Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access). Candidate must have strong analytical, as well as process improvement skills and be able to work independently and in a team environment. High attention to detail and a deadline driven attitude is required. Strong oral and written communication skills are recommended.
