The largest of Memorial Sloan Kettering’s clinical departments, our Department of Medicine encompasses experts in various specialties within the Hematologic Oncology, Solid Tumor, General Medicine, Network Medicine Services, and Survivorship and Supportive Care Divisions. We offer a range of services both in New York City and at our suburban outpatient locations. Department of Medicine physicians oversee the care of the whole patient. Our experts provide the complete spectrum of medical oncology treatments such as chemotherapy, hormone therapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy, leading the development and testing of new drug therapies in all areas.
As a Department Fund Manager, you will:
Manage all non-operating departmental funds (i.e., grants, philanthropy, R&D).
Oversee the process of obtaining and utilizing funds from the grant application or proposal, the daily management of the funds, including salary support, costs from other areas (CFOA) and patient care costs.
Development and maintain proposal, budget preparation, databases and regular reports to departmental administration.
Plan and execute special projects related to departmental funds.
A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
Able to work effectively in an environment notable for complex, sometimes contradictory information.
Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.
Adept at learning on the run while tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in a research or academic medical center.
MBA, MHA, or MPH preferred.
Familiarity with healthcare industry; financial management; research fund management.
