The VP, SMG Operations will be responsible for the day to day operations of the Sinai Medical Group and practices.The position will be responsible for a broad range of operational issues including patient access and experience, facilities and service planning, growth and planning execution, budgeting, policy making and general administration. The VP, Operations is responsible for the administrative direction of those departments reporting directly to this position. The VP, Operations is responsible to facilitate measure, evaluate, and interpret care needs of patients and performance of staff while directing activities accordingly and meeting the directives established by the health system and SMG President.
Day to day operating control of the Sinai Medical Group (SMG) clinical operations, including the Sinai Community Institute practice, the SMG at Schwab Clinics, the SMG community health center network sites and any other SMG or SHS practices under the auspices of the SMG.
Identifies, recommends, and implements practice needs: staffing, services, equipment, other capital and facilities.
Assist the SMG President with operations of the practice including staff and physician recruitment, process improvement productivity, budget management and quality management.
Ensures plans are developed and executed to meet key system indicators, goals, and metrics; including quality, safety, service, financial, and engagement performance.
Partners with SMG President to build and oversee operational budget and ensure practices manage within budgetary guidelines
Responsible for facilities, capital spending, and premises management
Set and ensure accountability against budget, capitol, and productivity standards within the SMG organization.
Oversees the hiring, onboarding, development, evaluation, and direction of all SMG workforce
Participate in perpetuating and ensuring practice growth and access.
Physician/management meetings: establishes agenda in consultation with SMG leadership; prepares data for meeting; contributes to decision-making.
Responsible for executing project/s changes as directed by the physicians at management meetings.
Ensures that reports to government agencies are on time/liaison with accountant and attorney
Fee analysis, survey, and review with recommendations to physicians
Determines economic aspects of equipment, facility, and new service decisions
Responsible and accountable for tracking billing and collection activities
Practice marketing with patients; referring practices; with local businesses; and industry
Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or other related field
Minimum seven years' experience in health care administration; five years leadership experience required.
Ability to provide multi-site management, and comfort in matrix relationships
Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to change with consideration of its impact on decision-making and planning. Contribute to an atmosphere that embraces change.
