DUTIES: This position is located at the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center in Altoona, Pennsylvania. The incumbent will function as a part-timeStaff Cardiologist. The duties include, but are not limited to: assessing, consulting, and treating patients with general cardiac disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings within Acute Medicine; responsible for interpretation of cardiovascular non-invasive tests, including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, Halters, and stress tests. Must be computer literate with skills to access and input electronic medical documentation.
Work Schedule: Tour of Duty for this position ison an adjustable schedule - 40 hours per pay period.
NOTE: Applicant's education and experience will be reviewed by a Professional Standards Board and Compensation Panel (for Physicians and Dentists) in determining the grade and salary of the applicant selected. The recommended salary may be at any point in the range listed for this vacancy.

Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. The degree must have been obtained from one of the schools approved by the Department of Veterans Affairs for the year in which the course of study was completed.
Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Completion of residency training, or its equivalent,approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
Proficiency in spoken and written English.
