Systems Operations Engineers perform the following daily functions:
Track recurring incidents and identify underlying problems
Escalate problems to other I.T. teams when necessary
Develop troubleshooting documentation and incident resolution workflow
Create process documentation, operations guides, and low level design diagrams
Act as an escalation point for Systems Administrators, other operations teams, and application analysts
Create reports and analyze reported metrics
Develop solutions and confirm functionality
Participate in an after-hours on-call rotation
Provide engineering resources to platform specific projects
Minimum Education Requirements
High School diploma or GED required
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics preferred
Minimum Experience Requirements
7+ years of experience required; preference toward large enterprise environments
Solid oral and written communication skills
Must have the ability to train and mentor others
Preferred certifications include:
Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V)
Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N)
Citrix Certified Professional – Mobility (CCP-M)

Operations Engineering and Support
Escalation and support of Citrix/application delivery services (Citrix, Netscaler, intranet/extranet & VDI)*
Monitoring of the production environment (Citrix Director, AppCenter & MAS)*
Maintenance of components of Citrix farms and clustered services (Licensing, Testing, Operating Systems)*
Installation/configuration of Citrix and Microsoft updates on Citrix servers*
Installation/customization of applications on Citrix servers*
Publication and testing of Citrix delivered application in the Intranet/Extranet*
Ad hoc assistance with support of Epic Citrix and Virtual Desktop environments*
Assist with troubleshooting of application access and performance*
Escalations from Application Delivery Tier 2*
Provide engineering resources for Application Delivery projects*
Meet with Architect Teams to discuss upcoming projects*
Participate in technical evaluations of new products*
Evaluate compatibility of new applications with the Citrix infrastructure*
Provide feedback and advice on project implementation*
Track and communicate status of work efforts*
Resolution of service outages*
Support of I.T. department initiatives *
