The Administrative Assistant in the Business Office is the primary customer service representative for the department; addressing student, faculty, staff, and visitor inquiries about basic Business Office functions. In addition, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for daily cash receipting for student accounts and departmental deposits and provides support for purchasing and accounts payable with purchase order processing.
The Administrative Assistant acts as a cashier for all student and departmental cash receipts; ensuring timely and accurate deposits to accounts. Reconciling daily cash activity with transactions reports and transmitting daily electronic bank deposits along with managing cash on hand. Will routinely handle phone calls, e-mail, and mail inquiries. Provide scheduling and administrative support for the Business Office.
This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE, regular, 12-month position.

The successful candidate has 3 – 5 years of related prior experience in a business office setting. Customer service orientation with aptitude for working with both people and numbers. Excellent communication, written, and verbal skills.
