Salus University is seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Full Time Coordinator of Patient Access.
Primary Functions: Facilitate a positive patient experience through the coordination, development and entry of patient care schedules for all clinical services provided at Salus University clinics. Working with the clinical operations and academic affairs office, enter faculty and resident patient care schedules timely and accurately in the practice management software system. Keeps all key stakeholders informed of scheduling updates and issues. Prepares, reviews, and analyzes scheduling/appointment performance indicator data at regular intervals and/or as needed. Assists the Manager of TEI Appointment Center and other clinic managers or coordinators with data collection and analysis.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Coordinate with management team to develop and /or modify patient care templates based on faculty and resident clinical care schedule and students' academic schedule.
Effectively communicate with the clinical operations and academic affairs teams to ensure that patient care schedules are entered in timely and accurately.
Effectively communicate changes in faculty and resident clinical care schedules impacting patient care to key stakeholders.
Coordinate and collaborate with Manager of the TEI Appointment Center ensuring that Appointment Center staff are aware of updates, changes effecting ability to provide appointments to patients in timely manner.
Assist Manager of the Appointment Center with Center responsibilities such as data collection and analysis
Collaborate with other Salus University clinic coordinators and managers to ensure that clinic schedules are entered timely and accurately in the practice management system.
Prepares and analyzes scheduling/appointment performance indicator data
Coordinate regularly scheduled patient care scheduling meetings with key stakeholders.
Other related duties as assigned.
Education / Experience:
Associates degree in healthcare administration preferred.
Two + years experience in busy academic healthcare practice responsible for coordination of patient care scheduling.
Experience coordinating faculty, resident and student schedules to create maximized patient care schedules
Experience preparing and analyzing key indicator reports
Experience with practice management software system (Compulink preferred).
