Under administrative direction, serves as Case Manager for the examination of banks, thrifts and corporate fiduciaries including their affiliates and subsidiaries for the Banks, Trust and Savings Institutions in the Division of Banking. Reviews and evaluates reports of examinations, enforcement actions, and prepares transmittal letters for submission to superior. Assists superior with enforcement of the policies and procedures regarding supervision of banks, thrifts and corporate fiduciaries. Plans and prioritizes examination schedules for state banks, thrifts and corporate fiduciaries, and their subsidiaries for submission to superior. Reviews various applications submitted by banks, thrifts and corporate fiduciaries or investor groups. Serves as working supervisor. Travels to various sites for meetings and presentations with bank, thrift and corporate fiduciary officials.
Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with courses in accounting, finance, banking, monetary theory or business. Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience as a bank regulator or three years of progressively responsible administrative experience as an executive officer or manager of a depository institution with complex responsibility supervising multiple functions. Requires extensive knowledge of public and business administration, principles and practices; agency programs and service objectives, activities and operational systems; staff utilization and employee motivation; labor and employment development; agency policies and procedures. Requires ability to develop and manage a supportive agency program; analyze administrative problems and adopt an effective course of action; develop, install and evaluate new and revised methods, procedures and performance standards; exercise judgment and discretion in developing, implementing and interpreting departmental policies and procedures; develop and maintain cooperative working relationships. Requires extensive knowledge of accounting and auditing theory; examining principles, methods, and procedures. Requires through knowledge of the rules, regulations, and laws governing the regulated industry. Requires knowledge of computer capabilities, usage, and of computer equipment. Requires ability to travel including overnight stays. Specialized Skills: Requires prior experience equivalent to four years of progressively responsible professional accounting, banking or auditing experience.
