This position will be focused on providing digital accessibility leadership through strategy, design, and innovation. A deep understanding of the guidance and regulations provided by OCR, DOJ, and the W3C’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines is required. Will work in partnership with other units and committees throughout the university. The ideal candidate will work with the ADA coordinator, Office of the General Counsel, the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities and other campus partners to iteratively establish proactive strategies for digital accessibility improvement, and improved digital experiences for MSU students, faculty and staff, as well as the greater community; will work with central purchasing, vendors, and campus buyers to evaluate software and services, and enhance models of support for procurement; will partner with our campus accessibility liaisons to implement guidelines for online courses, websites, and other digital properties, evaluating standards and effectiveness over time.
