Macquarie Capital has co-invested in Taiwanese Offshore Wind Project and is looking for an Offshore Wind Permits / Approval Manager to join their team to assist in project development activities for the Taiwanese wind projects. Work together with our partners and advisors to manage diverse permitting and approval elements of the projects that may include:
Working with other team members to understand what permits and approvals they may require from external parties in order to facilitate the progression of their work;
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government and utility authorities;
Advise on format of submissions that the approving authority requires
Advise on timeframes for submissions, expected approvals, submission requirements (paper-based, electronic, in-person presentation, etc)
Ensure that all timeframes are included into the project master plan so that these can be accounted for and tracked.
Follow up on submissions with approving authorities to understand the status of submissions and whether there is any additional information required.
Identify and manage any post-approval requirements and reporting obligations.
Ensure that all health, safety and environment reporting is prepared and submitted on time
Ensure that any other statutory reporting obligations that relates to the development, construction or operational phases are prepared and submitted in line with relevant timelines.
Provide input into internal weekly and monthly reporting during the project
Participate in regular internal meetings to identify submission and timing requirements for permits and approvals on a look forward basis to ensure timely decision making and problem solving.
Key skills and knowledge areas required:
Based in Taipei, Taiwan.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of five (5) years' experience undertaking a similar role.
Project management skills.
Have excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levels.
Enjoy and be effective at developing and nurturing client relationships at the appropriate level.
Be ambitious, motivated and have the drive to succeed.
Be a team player.
Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
