Team Profile: Morgan Stanley's Corporate Treasury division is responsible for providing corporate-finance advisory services to senior management and the business units; maintaining the firm's liquidity; accessing multicurrency short- and long-term financing; optimizing the firm's capital base; coordinating our relationships with rating agencies, lenders, and creditors; managing the firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure; and acquiring adequate insurance for the firm's activities.
Treasury Technology is pursuing multiple high profile strategic initiatives with wide reaching impact, and building a class-leading technology platform for the efficient management of the firm's liquidity, funding, and capital in an evolving business landscape. This role presents a unique opportunity to be part of an exciting and fast growing team, to work on unique, high profile projects and systems using the latest technologies, to build a deep understanding of multiple business lines, and to have a dramatic impact on Morgan Stanley's business.
Java development within a collaborative, agile team, working on green field projects related to the modelling and simulation of business activity, and the management of the firm's liquidity.
Responsibility for all phases of software development including technical architecture, analysis, development, testing and deployment.
Use of Behaviour Driven Development, partnering with end users to define and automate behavioural test cases.
Close working with business users in Corporate Treasury, and both front and back office teams.
Opportunity to gain a deep business knowledge and a unique perspective across all of the firm's businesses.
Experience using Java for server-side development on Unix/Linux.
Strong object-oriented design and development skills.
Aptitude and desire to develop knowledge across a broad spectrum of financial products.
Interest in Agile development techniques such as Scrum or Kanban.
Continuous integration and build systems such as Jenkins or Hudson.
Databases / SQL.
