Soka University of America is seeking an Admission Operations Coordinator to help support the continued enrollment growth of the university’s undergraduate and graduate degree programs. Under the Associate Director of Admission Operations. This individual will assist the Admission area by supporting the processing of admission materials, maintaining admission workflows and communication strategies, supporting recruitment and enrollment plans.

Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for maintaining accurate data flow within the admissions databases (Technolutions Slate CRM, People Soft, OnBase); inputs all initial prospect and applicant data into databases and updates information in a timely manner.
Use professional judgment and process applications by entering data, consolidating applicant profiles, following up on missing materials, verifies completion, accuracy, and screens students for applicant eligibility.
Implement admission workflows, processes, schedules and communications for Admission operations under the direction of the Associate Director.
Responsible for daily admission-related functions such as responding to e-mail, answering phone calls.
Responsible for collaborating and processing decisions, letters, e-mail, mailings, and social media postings outlined under the department’s undergraduate and graduate communication plans and marketing campaigns.
Confer regularly with the Associate Director to plan and coordinate activities, resolve problems, and the like.
Assist the Associate Director in gathering data and preparing reports.
Responsible for training and supervision of all employees under the Student Employment program within the Admission Office. Manage supervision, recruitment, training and hiring of student workers who perform various office duties.
Counsels prospective students and their families on general admission requirements and related policies and processes.
Provides logistical support for admission events and Admission Committee meetings.
Participate in seasonal weekend and evening work as deemed appropriate.
Accept other assignments from the Associate Director of Admission Operations related to the responsibilities as they arise and as the University develops.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2 years of higher education experience (E.g Admissions).
1 year in supervising student employment is preferred
Willing to work seasonal evening and weekend hours and perform minimal domestic travel.
Proficiency in personal computer systems utilizing databases within Technolutions Slate CRM, PeopleSoft, word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Access, and other applications.
Ability to utilize a complex admission record keeping function.
Ability to interact well with prospective students, applicants and parents by phone, email and postal mail.
Ability to work in collaboration with the other members of Enrollment Services and the campus community.
Demonstrate understanding and sensitivity regarding cultural traditions, language barriers, and differential experiences in pre-collegiate academic preparation.
Capacity for developing and sustaining effective relationships with administrators, faculty, staff, students, as well as a variety of outside organizations.
Ability to receive and carry out direction.
Ability to work both independently and on a team.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
