Anderson University’s Campus Ministries invites applications for a full-time position as Director. The candidate should be prepared to assist with:
Spiritual Leadership – Provide direction for the spiritual life on campus.
BCM Director: Direct and coordinate BCM with all campus constituencies to create a robust campus environment for evangelism, discipleship, and worship that fosters the spiritual formation of Anderson University Students.
AU Discipleship Director: Assist the Vice President for Christian Life in order to design and implement a discipleship program involving all campus ministry leaders and campus constituencies.
Ministry Leadership –Provide personal pastoral ministry in the areas of spiritual counseling, hospital visitation, and other crisis ministries within the university and community, serving in cooperation with Campus Safety, Residence Life, Student Health Center and other departments to care for those in need or crisis.
Staff Leadership Provide supervision of the Ministry Assistant and Associate Campus Ministers as they perform their job responsibilities on behalf of the university.
Coordinator and Staff Liaison for Campus Ministry Groups –Coordinate and oversee campus ministry directors, sponsors, and staff/faculty advisors to the approved Campus Ministry groups.
At least five years’ experience in ministry leadership
Master’s Degree, with at least some concentration in ministry preparation
A strong commitment to quality relationships, warmth, excellence, and Christ-like service is essential.
Must have a mature and contagious Christian faith.
Commitment to the academic and Christ-focused mission of Anderson University is essential.
Must be able to work with a diverse student population and demonstrate commitment to the holistic development of students.
The ability to work in a professional and confidential manner with all staff, students, parents, and publics is essential.
Good oral and written communication and computer skills
Must be service oriented, diplomatic with strong organizational skills
Management skills, using judgment and discretion in dealing with personnel issues
A knowledge of Southern Baptist structure and polity, especially Baptist Collegiate Ministries
