This position reports directly to the Director Office of Financial Services – Camden, and is charged with executing the day-to-day accounting routines and controls for assigned areas of campus-wide responsibility. The primary purpose of this position is to provide business support to the Event Function for the Camden Campus. Major areas of responsibility include preparation of a draft of the campus-wide Monthly and Year End Budget Chancellor Report, Departmental Budgetary Reports, Monthly Grants Budget report, support to Events Office, administration of the Return Check process, accounting for Emergency Student Loans from inception . Also responsible for reconciliation of Campus Wide Balance Sheet accounts including student receivable accounts.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates knowledge and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and practices.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Also requires a minimum of two years relevant experience in a financial/accounting function, good communication skills, and computer literacy. Also requires good interpersonal, communication skills and computer literacy to include proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook).
Experience with university systems such as Oracle, SCI Quest, Student accounting system and FAMS (financial aid system) are preferred.
