OSU-Cascades, in Bend, Oregon, is seeking a Director of Admissions and Recruitment. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, fixed term professional faculty position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the OSU Director of Admissions.
As a member of the OSU-Cascades' Leadership Team, the Director of Admissions and Recruitment will provide strategic and visionary leadership for undergraduate and graduate student recruiting, direct recruitment marketing, and oversee the office of recruitment. The Director of Admissions and Recruitment conducts all admissions activities with the highest integrity and business ethics while adhering to state, federal, and OSU policies and regulations. The Director provides bold, integrated, and innovative leadership that reflects the importance of strong relations, a clear vision, and commitment to serving the mission of a public university and meeting ambitious enrollment goals for Oregon's newest university campus.
The Director of Admissions and Recruitment reports to the OSU Director of Admissions and has a dotted line reporting responsibility to the Vice President of OSU-Cascades. The Director is a member of and works closely with the OSU-Cascades' Leadership Team – including marketing, academic, student success and budget leaders – to expand the visibility of OSU-Cascades through recruiting and enrollment activities and to effectively carry out functional responsibilities and directives.
OSU-Cascades, located in Bend, Ore., is a branch campus of Oregon State University. Established in 2001, the university currently enrolls more than 1,100 students in bachelor's and master's degree programs. The campus expanded to a four-year university in 2015, and opened its new campus in 2016. The branch campus has ambitious enrollment goals to reach 3,000 to 5,000 students by 2025. OSU-Cascades is engaged in building a culturally diverse and community-centric educational environment.
Typically requires Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, College Student Services Administration or related field. 6-8 years' experience program focus including experience in management responsibilities.
-Master's Degree and/or applicable professional experience in marketing, sales or recruiting office, including increasingly complex responsibility in a leadership position.
-Demonstrated thorough knowledge of Admissions policies, best practices, and federal and state regulations governing Admissions offices.
-Demonstrated understanding of the strategic role of technology in marketing and sales operations.
-Five or more years in budget management and staff supervision.
-Commitment to promoting a culture of high professional standards that foster ethical and social responsibility.
-Excellent written and oral skills.
-A willingness to travel extensively.
-Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity and inclusion.
-Commitment to excellent customer service, with a high priority placed on responding quickly and thoroughly to inquiries from prospective customers.
-Excellent computer skills in MS Office applications, database management and enterprise computing systems.
-This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 24 months. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Criminal History Check Requirement.
-This position requires driving a University vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the University; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a Motor Vehicle History Check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per OSU Standard 576-056-0000 et seq. Offers of employment are contingent upon meeting all minimum qualifications including the Motor Vehicle Check Requirement.
