In collaboration with the Executive Director and Associate Director, this position is responsible for developing and managing Alliance undergraduate and graduate programs administered nationally across 36 member institutions/partners. The Manager oversees the recruitment, application, and selection processes for the consortium's undergraduate research program and works with Alliance support staff on program development, evaluation, and administration of specially funded programs for undergraduate research, graduate student development/support, and alumni career development. Collaboration with Alliance coordinators is further demonstrated through committee work, business meetings, and ongoing review and support of best practices across the consortium. This position will oversee the maintenance of the Alliance's national database archiving program and outcome data for all participants in Alliance programs.
Bachelor's degree required; Masterâ??s Degree preferred and at least 3-5 years of experience developing and managing programs in an institutional setting, or the equivalent combination of experience and education
Experience in obtaining grant and other funding preferred
Experience in administering and monitoring financial resources for projects
Demonstrated ability in financial management and accounting, including budget development, management, forecasting and reporting.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate data, identify patterns, and formulate predictions used to make recommendations
Experience in data analysis and program evaluation
Knowledge of SPSS preferred
Experience with survey technologies preferred
Knowledge and experience in supervision or management of technical and administrative personnel, working groups, or committees
Ability to work with a high-level advisory group to coordinate data policy-related matters.
Excellent verbal presentation skills, communication in writing and interpersonal skills required.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
