This position provides high level grant and contract support to the Manager of Grants & Contracts in preparing grant proposals and in managing post-award activity. Responsibilities includes researching sponsorâ??s guidelines and producing spreadsheets and other related documents in conformance with GrantLab protocol, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of sponsorâ??s guidelines and effective use of websites such as COEUS, National Science Foundation Fastlane and Grants.gov., organizing grant information, maintain electronic and print files, and documentation, monitoring expenditures, and resolve issues, reconcile accounts, and review annual and final financial reports. This position also supports the Institute Manager and Director with coordinating the management of budgets, and processes reimbursements, expense reports, manages student payroll, and is responsible for equipment inventory management.
Bachelor's degree with 1-2 years grant and administrative experience (preferably in an academic environment) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with grants/sponsored projects.
Excellent accounting/budget/financial skills.
Excellent administrative and organizational skills and the ability to prioritize own workload.
Proficient in word-processing, spreadsheet and e-mail software applications required; Word and Excel preferred.
Experience preparing budgets for grant proposals preferred.
Must be able to shift focus and prioritize assignments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
