Reports To: Corporate Director of Advertising & Digital Marketing
Degree of Supervision: Periodically, through observation and meetings
Purpose: The Social Media Strategist’s role is in driving the strategy, planning and oversight of social media campaigns and playing a role in digital marketing efforts. The position will be responsible for publishing content, creating and maintaining editorial calendars, implementing audience engagement strategies, reporting, and working with internal and agency partners to coordinate various social initiatives.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Content creation, planning & management:
Daily content creation and publishing on earned, owned and paid platforms to ensure they align with organizational messaging and priorities
Attend Caron events to curate content and engage in real-time on social platforms
Manage editorial calendar and content workflows
Work with internal and agency partners to brainstorm content ideas that can be multi-faceted
Anticipating and proactively addressing shifting organizational priorities and relevant topical trends
Create and maintain internal social policies while complying with HIPPA restrictions
Community management & audience engagement:
Monitoring and moderating social accounts, audience engagement and reporting
Engage with audiences on a regular basis to cultivate conversations and deepen engagement
Keep current on social media trends, educating as necessary and making recommendations to capitalize on these trends
Develop reports that highlight community and audience insights
Establish reporting and insight that accurately measures social media performance
Report on social media KPIs; adjust plans to hit targets; base strategies on data-driven insight
Budget Management – manage social-related budget(s) to meet or exceed budget goals

Must have ability to sit, stand and type for extended periods.
Ability to use / maintain office equipment.
Minimum Education/Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field such as English, Journalism or Communications or relevant job experience is required.
A minimum of 5 years of social media experience and management; agency experience a plus. This includes proficiency in social media platforms, such as but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Periscope.
A minimum of 5 years writing experience – both short-form (social media content) and long-form.
Working knowledge of HIPAA laws and healthcare experience preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
If in recovery, at least 2 years of continued sobriety preferred
Working knowledge of social paid media metrics and planning
Sophisticated understanding of social media strategy and tactics as well as commonly used tools for scheduling, analyzing, and community management
Excellent grammar, writing, and proofreading skills – knowledge of rules of grammar & composition
Experience working with others on content creation and review
Detail-oriented with the ability to set priorities and be flexible in a changing environment
Good communications and interpersonal skills required
Ability to work independently, but also able to take direction
