Greenhills School (Ann Arbor, MI) seeks a maternity substitute to serve in the role of Learning Center Teacher beginning in September or October 2017.
The ideal candidate will be able to implement learning plans, know and implement best practices in response to a range of student needs, work with students on building self-advocacy skills, and advocate for students with their teachers. The candidate will be able to hold meetings with teachers and students to ensure they understand the accommodations in a Learning Plan, along with accommodations for APs, SATs, SAT subject tests, and ACT applications. Additionally, this candidate will be able to provide individual student support in the Learning Center both in as-needed and regularly scheduled meetings, including after-school sessions. This candidate will also set up the proctoring schedule (find classrooms and proctors) for special testing at the school.
Other contractual responsibilities for this position may include supervising students in a small group advisory and/or extracurricular activities, chaperoning school events, and general involvement in the life of the school.
