:Health and Hospital Systems
Manages several large projects and maintains financial systems across theCook County Health and Hospitals System (CCHHS). Implements and maintainssystems associated with the revenue cycle across the network system. Overseesthe completion of complex projects and system enhancements, applies vendorupgrades/applications and supports and conducts training of end-users. Servesas a subject matter expert.
Managesand monitors Siemens Patient Accounting tables and profiles within theguidelines of Medicare, Medicaid or third party payers to support revenue cyclefor charge capture, coding, billing and cash collections.
Activelymonitors and updates Siemens Customer Webpage and application/tools. UpdatesPatient Accounting on changes to CMS and State of Illinois billingrequirements.
Validatesthe processing of claims and other transaction files between various entitiesthat support the billing and collection process. Troubleshoots transfer failures and resolvesissues.
Responds,documents and implements enhancement requests received from Patient Accountingand other users who request patient accounting information.
Createsad hoc reports to insure system data integrity.
Evaluatesand works on projects to automate current manual processes. Works with managers and end-users to automateprocesses between insurance carriers, vendors and external partners.
HighSchool Diploma or GED (Must provideproof at time of interview)
Nine (9) years of work experience in healthcarefinancial systems or a related revenue cycle is required; OR anAssociate's Degree and seven (7) ofwork experience in healthcare financial systems or a related revenue cycle is required; OR a Bachelor's Degree and five(5) years of work experience in healthcare financial systems or a relatedrevenue cycle is required (must provideofficial transcripts at time of interview)
Three (3) years of work experience managing projects and/orimplementations and working with Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) is required.
Bachelor'sor higher level Degree in Public Health, Computer Science or ManagementInformation Systems from an accredited college or university is preferred

In-depthknowledge of healthcare revenue processes including: patient access; charge capture; documentationand coding; billing account receivable; and cash collections. Subject matterexpert.
In-depthknowledge of financial systems supported at CCHHS.
Abilityand follow through to work with outside departments to improve charge capture.
Advancedproject management skills and the ability to work with systems Development LifeCycle (SDLC).
Advancedanalytical skills necessary to evaluate financial data and translate same intoactionable information to drive results.
Excellentcustomer service skills with acceptable response times to phone calls, emailsand customer requests.
Strongwritten and verbal communications skills necessary to communicate concepts in aclear and concise manner to a wide level of personnel.
Advancedskill in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and other software andhardware packages.
