Fast pace "State of the Art" Munson Neurosurgery Department has two Neurosurgeons and two APPs that work in conjunction in the Ambulatory Practice, OR, and Hospital Rounds. A Team approach mission and recruitment to promote additional Providers and APPs to provide expertise to meet the needs of our immediate and surrounding communities.
A four year degree in a health related field is preferred. In the absence of a bachelor's degree, the candidate must have a minimum of four or more years of progressively more responsible work experience and leadership in a health care setting, in an ambulatory, medical office, or outpatient environment.Surgical physician office experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Must possess the ability to work independently while maintaining a team effort.
Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records system, diagnosis and procedure coding, insurance billing, scheduling, data entry, multi-line phones.
Experience working with an interdisciplinary team.
The ability to facilitate the resolution of complex problems within the ambulatory physician offices and with other departments within Munson Medical Group in an effort to continuously improve the quality of MMG ambulatory physician offices.
Under the supervision of the Director of Ambulatory Physician Practices or his/her designee, will be responsible for supervising the work and activities of the Munson Neurosurgery physician office.
Maintains a professional working relationship with other hospital departments, patient's families, physicians, office staff, and other health care professionals.Cultivates a positive working environment for all staff and providers.
Will be a key member of the physician practice management team.

5.Responsible for day-to-day work assignments of clerical and clinical staff to ensure a smooth operation and quality patient care.Includes timely resolution of day to day issues/problems.
6.Prepares agenda for monthly provider meetings, staff meetings, and educational in-services.Oversee routine office huddles, huddle boards, team communication, and A3 thinking.Completes minutes and follows-through on action items.
7.Preparation annual operating and capital budget with detailed objectives and performance measures, and submits for administrative approval.Monitors budget adherence throughout the year to measure fiscal performance, makes appropriate adjustments and recommendations to the offices.
8.Assists with the planning and development of new practice outreach, agreements, practice evaluations, acquisition recommendations, renovations, and start-up.Ensures outreach clinics are operating as planned.
9.Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies, as well as third party payer site requirements.Prepares for and participates in outside regulatory and accreditation agency reviews.
10.Serves as a liaison among the nursing staff, clerical staff, and the physicians.Develops and implements nursing care standards, policies, and procedures consistent with corporate goals and objectives for clinical excellence, and supportive of care appropriate to the age and unique physical and psychosocial needs of the patient population in his/her area of responsibility.
11.Establishes and monitors provider scheduling template and related office staff coverage schedules, including Kronos (time card) management.
12.Works closely with IP surgery team to assure proper scheduling, coordination of care, and communication with patients and their families.
13.Manages schedules to maximize patient access and provider efficiency.Is mindful of the patient experience when making changes to scheduled encounters.
14.Responsible for selection and hiring of personnel, employee evaluation and performance appraisal, corrective action, and termination of employees.
15.Assumes a limited patient assignment when staff is absent and/or patient schedule increases.
16.Must understand the duties of each staff position sufficiently to train and orient all new employees.
17.Participates in the development and coordination of policies and procedures.
18.Partners with CBO to oversee charge capture, coding, and related reimbursement activities.Assures that revenue cycle operations are functioning properly and do right the first time.
19.Oversees referral and authorization processes.
20.Partners with Ambulatory Applications and IS department to ensure that EMR and other related applications are working properly.This includes MACRA participation and other quality based initiatives.
21.Monitors and resolves patient complaints and VOICE reports.
22.Responsible for patient satisfaction surveys.
23.Maintains education as required.
24.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
