Provides operational support for Diversified Services and VVMC Hospitalist services related to day-to-day business functions. Provides analytical support for revenue cycle management, budgetary planning, and financial performance including registration, scheduling, charge capture, and productivity.
Collaborates with the DS management team to communicate new business and administrative processes, resolve operational problems, and eliminate barriers.
Collaborates with the front desk staff, patient accounts, medical records, and IT to ensure that the daily functions of the clinics occur in a standardized manner and without delay.
Prepares reports and interfaces with the IT department and outside vendors with regard to physician charge capture software and practice management systems.
Reviews vendor and grant provider contracts to ensure the operational aspects are being met, reports on the deliverables. Makes recommendations for changes to the contract terms.
Develops orientation/training and maintains ongoing education and expectations for front desk staff.
Maintains the Eagle County Prenatal patient list.
Provides reports to physicians and DS management to enhance understanding and knowledge of clinical productivity and financial management.
Ensures the fee schedule and CPT database are updated annually according to CMS guidelines. Works closely with coders and patient accounts to ensure that the physician practices are correctly implementing policies and procedures that effect patient payment and reimbursement.
Uses strategic thinking and applies process improvement methods to solve operational issues.
Perform other duties as assigned. Must be HIPAA compliant.
Five years of financial experience preferred. CPT coding and ICD 9 coding knowledge required.
Computer / Typing:
Microsoft Office use required. Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English.
