The Tufts Technology Services Knowledge and Learning group is a small team responsible for the planning, design, development, delivery and reporting of dynamic knowledge and training content for a range of IT services used by members of the Tufts community. Primary responsibilities of the position include recommending, designing, developing and implementing programs to meet the needs of a very diverse user community including classroom, non-classroom and innovative learning modalities; using digital design and delivery platforms to ensure the broadest possible distribution and adoption of self-service content by the Tufts community; delivering effective instructor-led technical training to the Tufts community on all four campus locations, as well as remote delivery; using best practice instructional design methods and consulting with subject matter experts to develop impactful training and documentation content related to new and enhanced IT services; assessing effectiveness of learning programs, recommend and implement continuous improvement based on collected data.

Qualifications Basic Requirements: Bachelor's degree in instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology or related field. 5-7 years' of experience with instructional design and technical training. Strong technical proficiency with Mac, Windows, Microsoft Office applications, WebEx, Box.com, and other broadly-used productivity and collaboration software. End user and administrative knowledge of Learning Management Systems. Extensive experience using digital content creation solutions such as: Captivate, Articulate, Storyline, Camtasia, InDesign, Photoshop, or other similar software. Strong curriculum design skills using instructional design best practices, with the ability to take complex tasks and/or subject matter and develop meaningful, simplified content. Ability to quickly understand and become an efficient user of new products and services. Advanced oral communication skills for engaging training facilitation and recorded training content. Demonstrated change management, relationship skills, and ability to employ a consultative approach to influence decision makers and provide development plans and approaches. A self-starter who has strong work ethic and sense of responsibility in managing multiple tasks and priorities. Proven proficiency with project management using project management software, to produce timely results and transparent reporting to all constituents. Detail oriented. Preferred Qualifications: Substantial digital design and multimedia production experience. Experience with knowledge management processes and administering knowledge base systems and content. Experience using content and/or lecture capture systems. Experience using Skillport content delivery platform. Experience with Web design and development. Superior graphic design skills. Master's Degree in instructional design, instructional technology, educational technology or related field.
