This Budget Analyst I position is responsible for:
Assisting in monitoring and controlling the Hospital's operating budget.
Participating in the development and maintenance of the annual budget process.
Maintaining the Position Control Reporting System to confirm with pre-established guidelines as determined in the operating budget for salaries and wages.
Completing reconciliations with the legacy budget system and the budget ledger; utilizing a personal computer and programming software to extract budget information for ad hoc reporting and variance analyses.
Preparing financial analyses and special projects as needed.
To qualify you must have:
The knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a closely related field and two years of previous experience in accounting or a related field.
Strong organizational and analytical skills necessary to resolve problems.
Experience using software and a report writer to gain access to information for use in reporting or analyzing variances or out of balance conditions.
