Under the direction of the HIV Program Director, the Clinical Research Study Assistant II performs a variety of data management and administrative activities related to compliance for multiple funding sources supporting HIV care and service delivery at Washington University Infectious Diseases (WU ID) Clinic.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions)
Assist the HIV Program Director in the implementation and monitoring of the Ryan White Part C/D sliding fee scale and patient cap on charges (SFS&PCC) policy, to include:
Training staff about the SFS&PCC policy and procedures.
Working with case managers to implement and monitor processes that ensure eligibility for Ryan White Part C/D services is collected and documented for their clients.
For patients not enrolled in case management, developing and implementing processes to collect documentation necessary for patient eligibility and SFS&PCC compliance.
Tracking fees paid by patients in accordance with SFS to ensure they are appropriately captured as program income.
Generating reports for quality assurance and updating policy and procedures as needed.
Assist the HIV Program Director and ID Division Manager of Business Operations in managing the clinic's HIV 340B Program by:
Preparing weekly patient eligibility files for submission to contracted pharmacies.
Processing invoices and payments from third-party administrators, contracted pharmacies, and wholesalers associated with the clinic's 340B Program.
Generating reports for quality assuance and to monitor 340B volume and revenue.
Performing compliance activities as described in the clinic's 340B guidelines to ensure the program is prepared for potential audits.
Staying abreast of changes within the HRSA Office of Pharmacy Affairs that could impact the clinic's 340B program; updating policy and procedures as needed.
Work collaboratively with the clinic's Ryan White data/quality team to perform data management and analysis related to grant applications, required reports, quality improvement, and program evaluation.
Assist the HIV Program Director in managing billing and invoicing tasks related to Ryan White funded visits and labs, subcontractors, and vendors; ensure documentation and data necessary for reporting on grant-funded expenditures is accurate and up-to-date.
Assist the HIV Program Director with updating the clinic website and various other HIV-related data tracking, administrative, and/or quality related projects as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in a health-related or data management field, plus at least 2 years of relevant experience. Must have strong database skills including proficiency in Excel and Access. Experience with billing, budget management, and/or compliance is preferred.
High school diploma plus 2 years of administrative or research experience, preferably in a medical environment; Associate’s degree or 2 years of college may substitute for experience
The hiring range for this position is $16.90 - $21.13 per hour.
