ResponsibilitiesThe GTS business is looking to hire a head to lead its commercial cards business in Asia Pacific. The role would be expected to lead the APAC cards team in driving commercial card strategy and work closely with multiple regional and global stakeholder teams for execution.
The APAC cards head has end to end responsibility for the business, overseeing 2-4 product managers directly. He / she has responsibility for management of the P&L for the APAC cards business, and is expected to have extensive technical and functional knowledge of the cards industry.
Among the candidate's key job responsibilities:
Head the APAC cards team that has responsibility to build, launch, commercialize, support and enhance an industry leading Commercial Cards business in Asia Pacific.
Execute and manage the corporate card strategy in line with our global GTS strategy & priorities, delivering target revenues and profitability on the APAC card portfolio across direct issuance and partner bank markets.
The role has a reporting line into head of Product management, GTS APAC and additional direct accountability to Global Card business head.
Responsible to drive revenues, pipeline growth, product penetration, and commercialization across client portfolios
Responsible for product strategy, product development, investment management, P&L management and sales strategy.
The role requires close collaboration with Regional and Global partners in Product, Sales, Fulfillment and Service to deliver a globally consistent solution to clients in the large corporate, commercial and public sector segments.
Have strong knowledge of Card platforms, Commercial Card trends in Asia Pacific and should always remain focused on commercialization.
Key success factors include strong communication and analytical skills, ability to adapt to an ever changing card and emerging payments landscape.
Will be involved in all aspects of business strategy with a significant focus on risk, regulatory, compliance, controls, operational efficiency, and expense management.
Champion and act as a role model of the firm's values and culture
Ability to partner effectively with the GTS EXCO team to discuss, debate and decision critical issues for the business
15+ years of card experience with a history of increasing responsibility
Strong understanding of commercial card solutions including Corporate Cards, Purchase Cards, Virtual Cards and Corporate Prepaid cards.
Strong card processing, platform and network understanding
Hands on experience launching a Cards product in Asia Pacific, preferably a Regional solution
Ability to understand client needs and translate into product requirements
Ability to meet with Regulators to communicate the bank's goals and plans
Strong intercompany negotiation skills
Strong financial understanding of card P&Ls and drivers
Ability to work closely with Operations, Technology, Fulfillment and Service to enhance client experience
Ability to provide product support to new and existing clients along with client teams
Card sales experience to corporate or government clients
Must be able to deliver key messages to all levels internally and with clients
Ease in working across multiple time zones
Demonstrated ability to influence, drive partners and excel in a highly matrixed organization
Demonstrated ability to think and act regionally while also supporting global and local delivery
Knowledge of local regulations related to Commercial Card or credit card programs
