We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Financial Project Analyst.
In this role, the successful candidate will provide overall financial project analysis support for the department including, but not limited to budgeting, invoice processing, status updates of purchase orders, financial analysis, reporting and research.
Ensures consistent reporting and adherence to federal and state financial reporting regulations and guidelines, and conformity with Medical Center fiscal policies and procedures.
Coordinates, compiles, and analyzes annual financial statements for the utilizing complex spreadsheet and database applications.
Participates in the design, documentation, and implementation of various integrated systems and applications for periodic and ad hoc financial reporting, utilizing complex electronic financial information from systems and databases.
Analyzes, designs, documents, and implements internal financial reporting systems and procedures.
Provides information to various Medical Center personnel for the development of cost allocation negotiations.
Business Development. Assists in the preparation of business plans for new practices and/or lines of business.
Reimbursement Management. Obtains data files for ad hoc reports, identifies and resolve any inaccuracies in billing reports and under the direction of the Chair and Department Administrator, reviews billing reports to identify and correct adverse trends.
Prepares and coordinates distribution of various financial reports and analyses for senior management and external agencies to include financial analysis of individual unit operations. Maintains liaison with other financial managers and administrative staff in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, to provide information and to resolve problems concerning variances from approved budget.
Monitors budget expenditures and prepares written reports and analyses to management setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Defines financial project objectives and implementation schedule, assembles project team and identifies resources needed to ensure timely completion of projects. Keeps stakeholders apprised of project status.
Performs other duties as assigned.
To qualify you must have a BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business and 3+ years relevant financial administration experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Demonstrated experience working with financial statements and general ledger; and proven ability to create concise reports based upon specifications requested by management.
Must have a clear understanding of accounting and finance, procurement, accounts payable.
Knowledge of the construction financial process is critical.
Must be able to communicate with senior staff and project managers; and at the same time, flexible enough to be extremely hands on with administrative tasks, including filing.
Must be self-motivated, and excel at working independently and as a team player.
Accounts payable and overall basic accounting skills (i.e., journal entries, working with G/L, budgeting)Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) proficiency.
Experience using EPIC
Experience in Radiology
