Community Health Registered Nurse - COACH for Kids Program

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, COACH For Kids Program has an opening for a Registered Nurse.
The COACH program provides mobile medical services throughout Los Angeles County, to thousands of families living below the poverty line that are not only experiencing extreme financial hardship, but are also often without access to essential medical care and basic social services.
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in community settings aboard the COACH Mobile Medical Unit. The Nurse will provide immunization administration, urine specimen, collection finger-stick/venipuncture, TB placement/readings, patient/parent education, referrals to community agencies and patient follow-up; performs initial nursing assessment, triage and obtains medical history from patient/parent/caregiver.
The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing, a valid California Driver's license, a valid Registered Nurse License, and CPR certification. The candidate must have a minimum of one to two years' experience working with low-income/underserved families in a community setting, minimum one year experience working with pediatric patients, and must demonstrate clinical expertise and technical skills for general and specialty population. Bilingual, English-Spanish preferred.
