The Tropical Conservation Institute (TCI) of Florida International University’s College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASE) seeks a proven, frontline major gift fundraiser with a passion for conservation. The Director of Development will report to the Executive Director of Development and will work closely with the Dean, TCI co-Directors, senior faculty, fundraising colleagues and highly engaged volunteer Board members to implement a comprehensive development program with innovative strategies designed to grow and sustain donor relationships with individuals and foundations.
With world-class faculty and students, the Tropical Conservation Institute is saving species around the world and is poised to take philanthropy to a higher level to enhance its positive impact. The Director will implement high-performance measurable development strategies, in support of the mission. Fundraising priorities include building an endowment, developing funding for critical species conservation programs, and obtaining resources for the enhancement of facilities.
Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s degree and frontline major gift fundraising experience; Experience in environmental fundraising is preferred.
