Reporting to the Head of School of Yeshiva University High School for Boys, the Director of Admissions and Student Welfare for the Boys High School is responsible for recruiting students and participating in the admissions decision process.
Responsible for the coordination of Open House, Parlor Meetings, Student Visit Days and Freshmen Orientation
Partner in designing all marketing materials, guides, brochures, etc.
Responsible for managing the application process and leading the Faculty Admissions Committee
Shepherd all applicant families through the admissions process and stays in contact with interested parents
Establish list of prospective students and cultivates connections with those families
Oversee recruitment efforts, which include phone call campaigns from faculty, parents and students as well as listserv postings
Arrange and conduct applicant interviews
Maintain relationship with feeder schools and arrange for site visits and lectures/programs from MTA faculty
Oversee school website and ensure that it stays current
Work with Grade Deans, Director of Student Activities and Guidance Department to provide a positive experience for each student.
Meet with students and talk to parents on a regular basis to hear about their experience.
Create personalized plans for students to ensure a positive growth experience.
Partner with the Student Activities department to create a positive environment in the yeshiva.
Partner with the Student Activities department to create more engaging and exciting social opportunities for our students
