Communications and Admissions Associate
Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Associate will assist in the development of communication and marketing strategies of the school, including advertising, website and social media, as well as admissions database management. The Associate will be an integral member of both the admissions and communications team, serving as a liaison between the two departments, providing valuable support and creative insight. This is a non-exempt, full-time, 10-month position eligible for benefits with a start date of August 15.
Support the Communications team in developing digital media and marketing strategies;
Support management of school’s website, online calendar, and social media channels as needed;
Develop and edit content for web and school publications as needed, including but not limited to, admission collateral, annual reports, and alumni magazines;
Serve as school photographer, responsible for taking photos of daily and special events on all three campuses as assigned;
Manage a database of all of the school’s photo and video files, including tagging images and videos for easy access.
Data entry and management through onBoard and other applicant related tasks;
Process JK-12 inquiries, applications, test scores, teacher recommendations and transcripts;
Maintains checklists for JK-12 applicants;
Assists as needed at admission and outreach events; and
Supports the admission team with internal and external marketing initiatives
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in English, journalism, communications, marketing or a related discipline;
Experience in creating and distributing digital content, including web, social, and email content;
Knowledge of AP Style a plus;
Outstanding writing and editing ability;
Experienced with DSLR camera and lenses (Nikon a plus) and post processing of photos, familiarity with MAC Photos and Photoshop preferred (other Adobe Creative Suites software a plus);
Proactive planner and ability to work independently;
An understanding of independent schools and their culture;
Ability to produce high quality work on short deadlines;
