The Women’s Initiative is a nonprofit that provides vital mental health services to women through a culturally responsive, trauma-informed perspective, centered on the core belief in every woman’s innate capacity to heal. We are seeking a Program Director to develop, manage, and implement our mental health, social support, and education & outreach programs, which aim to make care accessible to every woman, including and especially those in historically underserved communities. The Program Director will possess superb clinical skills as both a therapist and supervisor, with an extensive background in trauma-informed clinical work and demonstrated excellence in working with diverse populations and addressing issues of inequality and oppression. The Program Director is also the agency’s chief liaison with community providers and is responsible for building and nurturing partnerships with other organizations. As both a team member within the agency and as an external community liaison the Program Director should have a demonstrated ability to thrive in collaborative team environments. Successful candidates will have a rich understanding of how social identity affects individuals’ ability to access care and possess a demonstrated commitment to creating inclusivity.
