The Active Directory (AD) Systems Engineer will be part of a growing team within the Identity & Access Management Office (IAMO). You will collaborate with team members in the design, deployment, and operation of AD, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and related enterprise services for Purdue’s central campus. This is an exciting time as the scope of central AD services has grown greatly in recent years as departmental ADs have been merged into Purdue’s central AD. Among other projects, we are currently implementing a green field replacement for our existing AD, using software technology from Quest to provide better control.
As part of the IAMO, you will be working with other IAMO team members to create integration points between AD and other IAMO identity management services.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, computer technology, information security or related fields.
At least five years progressively responsible experience in systems, application, database, web, or network administration.
Two years of Active Directory experience or significant experience with other Microsoft enterprise technologies (e.g., Windows Server, SCCM).
In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of related education and required work experience.
Experience designing, developing and deploying active directory structures with forests, domains, and subdomains in a large enterprise environment.
Experience in architecting enterprise solutions in more than one system over a wide range of environments.
Experience implementing testing and contingency plans with successful deployments in a large scale environment.
Ability to communicate with large or small groups through written and verbal communication.
Ability to work productively in a team environment to complete large and complex projects.
Effective team building skills in a large and diverse environment and an ability to effectively advise other team members.
Demonstrated ability to establish priorities, assign functions, originate change, affect results and foster a continuous quality improvement environment.
Higher education experience.
Security qualifications such as CISSP or GIAC.
Experience with PowerShell or other scripting languages.
