MITx DIGITAL LEARNING POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Materials Science and Engineering (part-time, 50%), to work on online course development. Will work closely with faculty to develop online learning materials that are used both in classrooms at MIT and with global online learners on edX. Responsibilities include managing course sites on the edX/MITx LMS, designing online learning activities and assessments, planning and editing video segments, engaging with students in online discussion forums, ensuring that intellectual property and accessibility requirements are met for online materials, and analyzing course data to determine best practices for course development. Will also actively participate in the MITx Digital Learning Lab program and work with MITx and edX support services staff during the course development process.

The appointment may begin as early as the summer of 2017, with the potential for annual renewal conditional on performance.
