And we do it allwith every action focused on our shared values of Integrity, Compassion,Relationships, Innovation & Performance.The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for answering incoming calls / completing outbound calls to / from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity. Positions in this function perform various duties related to the fulfillment of prescription orders. They will interpret physicians' prescriptions and creates orders, accesses, inputs, and retrieves prescription information from computer system, verifying whether the order is reimbursable, dispensing any or all of the following: unit doses, specialty pharmaceuticals and injectables; may compound medications. They will also consult with customers, patients and / or physicians regarding use of medications and potential drug interactions. Consultations may be telephonic or in person. Reviews and approves / denies requests for prescription prior authorizations. Pharmacists must have a current license without restrictions and Pharmacy Technicians must have current state license or national certification without restrictions based on regulatory requirements of worksite.Primary Responsibilities:Entering prescriptions and verifying appropriate informationContacting patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issuesProcessing prescriptions (from intake to order completion)Resolving customer issues; ensuring accurate information is providedConstantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance recordAbility to work some on - call and eveningsAbility to arrange deliveries with the courier service and communicate with patients on the phone to gather re - order informationAbility to clean and sanitize equipment and pharmacy area as directedOther duties as directed by the pharmacist in charge and general manager
Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED (or higher)Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of Oklahoma or willing to obtain license within 30 days of hire Pharmacy / prescription data entry experience Available to work 40 hours per week and overtime as required according to the needs of the businessPreferred Qualifications: 1+ years of Insurance Authorization experience 1+ years of IV compounding experienceSoft Skills: Familiarity with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applicationPhysical Requirements and Work Environment: Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods of close vision looking at a computer monitor Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, floor activityCareers with AxelaCare.
