MSK's Development team is seeking a Writer/Editor to join their growing team.

As the Development Writer/Editor, you will:
Write and edit diverse communications (Web, email, donor letters, brochures, proposals, leadership remarks, etc.) that differentiate MSK as the world leader in cancer care and research to donors and potential donors.
Adapt the MSK Giving brand voice to various communication channels and audiences.
Actively engage in all aspects of the writing process with close attention to detail—including research, writing, and editing.
Translate complex scientific and medical information into clear, vibrant lay language.
Review and edit a high volume of documents for accuracy, voice, and grammar at a fast pace while paying close attention to detail.
Plan, write, and edit marketing emails, landing pages, and Web articles. Use SEO to help drive traffic.
A talented writer/editor who can pivot effectively between different projects, voices, and channels without losing track of accuracy—and should be as comfortable filling a blank page as editing someone else’s draft
A skilled writer with a knack for adapting copy based on the audience and platform
Able to write effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Passionate about using storytelling to advance MSK’s mission
A positive, collaborative team player who also takes pride in individual accomplishments and adheres to a high personal standard of excellence
Eager to learn about emerging development communications strategies and best practices
Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with enthusiasm and efficiency
Skilled at combining a strong sense of discretion and mature judgment with superb organizational ability and emotional intelligence
A Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 4 years of related professional experience.
An understanding of scientific and medical concepts, and the ability to translate complex concepts into clear and compelling lay language is required.
Comfort with SEO and Google Analytics is preferred.
Past experience working in an academic medical center and with research faculty and clinicians is a plus.
