1. The faculty member will teach courses on advertising strategy at the undergraduate level. 2. Service: This faculty member will serve on School committees (as well as College and/or University committees as needed), contributing to the well-being of the School and the VCU community.
The position requires a master's degree or a Ph.D. in mass communications or a related field. Ideal candidates should have:
college-level teaching experience in advertising strategy with a track record of inspiring others to reach their full potential;
an established research agenda or professional focus in advertising strategy (including consumer research, data analytics, competitive analysis, and marketing strategy), with the expectation of continued productivity at a high level;
demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse working and learning environment (and a commitment to do so as a faculty member); and
expertise in one of the School's existing focus areas of health communications, innovative digital media, and international media, or experience in producing award-winning work.
