The Senior Enterprise Windows Systems Administrator/SQL is responsible for the availability, security, and performance of an Enterprise Windows server infrastructure specializing in SQL server support including effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of Windows server systems hardware, software, file systems and related infrastructure. The administrator is responsible for performing an advanced level of technical activities required to support a Windows Server platform in an Enterprise environment including system administration, design, engineering of systems, including system performance management, security audit and remediation, operational support, problem resolution, and hardware and software installations and upgrades.
Administrators must have an in-depth knowledge of Windows (Intel) server architecture and system level resources that ensure all Windows application, database and web server system hardware, operating systems, software systems and related procedures adhere to build standards and industry best practices. Administration includes a strong networking knowledge including;DHCP, DNS, LDAP, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, and other relevant protocols. Experience with IIS, Vmware. Linux operating system, patch management (WSUS and SCCM), and system monitoring tools (SCOM) is recommended. Experience with production support for SQL 2005-2014, access provisioning, dba related tasks, SQL server installs and performance tuning. Knowledge of SQL licensing a plus.
Associate's degree required
Minimum of 7 years Information Technology in systems, network or server administration.
Minimum 5 years Windows administration experience with SQL Server proficiency.
Extensive knowledge and experience with Windows SQL operating systems and tools.
