Senior leader with overall responsibility of Towne Insurance Select Business Unit in Virginia and North Carolina. We are looking for applicants in Virginia Beach, Richmond or Raleigh or surrounding areas.Essential Responsibilities:•Supervises Select Business Unit service team members•Supervises Select Business Unit producers•Completes performance reviews and provides coaching and development for Select Business Unit team members•Responsible for recruiting, hiring and termination of Select Business Unit team members•Responsible for profitability of overall cost center•Leads strategic planning efforts for Select Business Unit’s retention and growth•Attends and leads internal office meetings as required•Primary point of contact with Select Business Unit carriers and service centers•Primary point of contact for accounting on billing discrepancies•Monitors vacation and out of office requests for Select Business Unit team members and enters data into the UltiPro system•Keeps P & C License active and increases insurance knowledge by attending continuing education classes•Obeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Minimum Required Skills and Competencies:•Minimum five years’ experience in Small Business and/or Commercial Lines Insurance•Minimum five years’ experience leading a team•Experience with maintaining expenses within a departmental budget•Current P & C License•Strong organizational and leadership skills•Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a cheerful personality•Strong attention to detail•Dependable and punctual•Experience with Microsoft Office softwareDesired Skills and Competencies:•Previous experience with Applied insurance software products•Insurance industry designations•Experience dealing with insurance company service centers•Personal lines experienceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
