Academic Records Coordinator California College of the Arts
Position Summary: Can you provide a welcome reception and appropriate information to students with inquiring minds? Are you detail-oriented and able to work with a large confidential database? Are you accurate in your data-entry skills with a strong interest in academia? If yes, then this might be the right position for you. The Academic Records Coordinator provides front line service to students, faculty and staff involving academic records, registration, enrollment verifications, grades, and transcripts. This service-oriented position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additionally, this candidate must have the ability to interpret, apply and clearly communicate academic policies and procedures. Reports to: Assistant Registrar Department: Student Records
Responsibilities include: Front-line service including form updates and distribution, answering incoming calls and email inquiries, interpretation and explanation of academic policies and procedures as they apply to individual circumstances, and referral to the appropriate departments as needed Processes registrations, adds, drops and withdrawals for degree seeking students; including data entry, tracking, follow-up, and file maintenance Processes transcripts Assists with Commencement and Orientation Supports Associate Registrars and Assistant Registrar with special projects
Minimum Qualification: 1-2 years prior administrative experience, preferably in an academic environment. Strong word processing and data entry skills, with attention to detail required. Ability to work under pressure, prioritize workload, and be able to multi-task. Associate's or Bachelor's degree required.
