Under the guidance of the Director of Alumni Relations, the Associate Director of Alumni Relations will manage law school alumni projects and programs. The Associate Director will be responsible for the strategy and execution of high-quality alumni programs and events, with a particular focus on affinity programming such as the UCLA Law Women LEAD and other priority strategic areas. This role will require excellent volunteer, board, and events management. Additionally, the Associate Director will be responsible for delivering consistent communication to the alumni community and advancing the online presence of the UCLA Law Alumni Relations program. This role will be responsible for developing partnerships that will further the mission of UCLA Law Alumni Relations. The Associate Director will be a key role in supporting the engagement and data capture metrics of the External Affairs team and will work closely with development colleagues to achieve shared goals.

Ability to interpret all policies governing School of Law External Affairs with the highest level of attention to detail.
Advanced skill in using Microsoft Office applications and database software in a Windows environment.
Demonstrated knowledge of and familiarity with CRM alumni databases and with the Advance database.
Advanced knowledge of the operations of a development office in an institution of higher education sufficient to accomplish departmental goals.
General office skills such as maintaining calendars, coordinating meetings and conferences, developing and maintaining filing systems, screening and prioritizing mail and telephone calls, etc.
Demonstrated ability to organize and implement the logistical requirements of events and programs.
Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to maintain cooperative working relationships with other University offices, volunteers and the public. Skill in interacting diplomatically and discretely with individuals in a public contact setting.
Previous experience working with a professional board of directors. Advanced ability to develop strong relationships in order to ensure continued alumni support.
