The Senior Administrative Assistant coordinates the daily functions of the front office, including frontline activities involving customer service, administrative support, communications, technology, and the maintenance of confidential student records. This position is often the first point of contact representing the ASAC to the university community and the public. The Senior Administrative Assistant specifically provides support to the Executive Director, Academic Student Services and Access, including setting up meetings, scheduling appointments, coordinating events, requesting rooms, and preparing documents. The position supervises one part-time administrative assistant and 5-6 undergraduate student staff assistants. The staff member must be able to work and plan independently with limited supervision.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in training or experience is required.
Two years administrative experience working in a fast-paced front office; excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with students, parents, faculty, and the public
Technology experience including MS Office
Proven ability to quickly learn new software
Ability to work independently and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Able to work collaboratively as a member of a team
Experience in higher education and knowledge of university resources
Experience working in a confidential setting
Experience with online scheduling and data management systems
Experience with CMS, Colleague, and social media
Understanding of students with disabilities and relevant needs
Demonstrated editing and proofreading skills
Ability to plan, set priorities and follow through on complex tasks
