Saint Joseph Prep, a Catholic, co-educational, college preparatory high school sponsored by the Sisters of St. Joseph of Boston, seeks a dynamic, engaging Director of College Counseling and Guidance to oversee the entire college counseling program. The successful candidate will work closely with individual students and their families to develop an individualized, strategic plan for the college process. The Director will collaborate with the Students of Concern Team to provide appropriate, direct support to students in need.
Director of College Counseling and Guidance:
Reports directly to the Head of School
Works closely with:
Assistant Head of School for Academic Program regarding the scheduling, course selection, testing and academic progress of students
Assistant Head of School for Community Life regarding social, emotional, and psychological well-being of students
Supervises the Associate Director of College Counseling and Administrative Assistant
Experience with scheduling, PowerSchool and Naviance preferred
As a valued member in the Saint Joseph Preparatory High School community, the successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and advocacy skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and knowledge of a broad range of colleges and their admission trends. The candidate should be a skilled strategic planner to assist with developing short and long term plans to achieve targeted goals.
